‘Roger McGough’s Words Re-imagined’

Another new one today, from a batch scribbled down on Boxing Day. This one about Roger McGough was re-worked today…

Roger McGough’s Words Re-imagined

Roger McGough once said;
“If windows are the eyes of the soul,
Are eyelids the window cleaners?”

Wise words from the head
Of a poet with a goal,
Although this one prefers
To utter:
“The eyelid is the shutter!”
