Poem No. 10 Do You Dream In Colour?

(National Poetry Writing Month – April 2013)

Do You Dream in Colour?

Do you dream in colour?

Red: There’s fire under the bed
Blue: Somebody’s suffocating you
Green: The demon cannot be seen
Yellow: Breath deep, feel yourself mellow
Grey: The early morning mist of a new day
White: Eyes shielded from the dazzling light
Brown: The quicksand drags you down
Black: The colour of night, before day fights back

What colour do you dream?

Inspired by a Bill Nelson song of the same name – see Bill Nelson’s website. ideal for #NaPoWriMo’s daily poem. Photo to illustrate Poem No. 10.
